Irish author Colin Barrett makes Booker Prize longlist

Last year's Booker shortlist featured Irish authors Paul Murray and Paul Lynch, with Lynch winning the prize for his dystopian novel Prophet Song.

The 2024 longlist was announced today with the shortlist of six books to follow on 21 September.

The overall winner of the £50,000 prize will be announced at an event in London on 26th November.
