Cool off with some ice skating
Okay, sure, who among us is thinking about ice skating in the middle of summer? But with a year-round ice rink in the country, it certainly would be an unusual way to spend a day.
The Dundonald International Ice Bowl in Belfast is an Olympic-sized ice rink and offers public skating sessions seven days a week. No booking is needed for groups smaller than 15, just show up with your gloves and some chosen lines from Blades of Glory.
If you've been meaning to sharpen your skating skills, look no further: they offer six-week lessons from Grade 1 to 8. Prices for adults start at £8 (roughly €10).
