Beyoncé, Pamela Anderson, Billie Eilish and Laura Whitmore were among the famous faces at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, which took place in New York City last night.

The magazine celebrated its UK iteration of the awards just last week, where Irish stars Whitmore, Nicola Coughlan and Aisling Bea were out in force. Last night's gala, however, was even more star-studded, with a special focus on A-list mammies.

This year's awards focused on the women who raised some of the industries biggest names, including Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, Finneas O'Connell and Billie Eilish's mother Maggie Baird, Travis and Jason Kelce's mother Donna Kelce and Selena Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey.

Speaking to the packed room, Knowles said: "I've been so blessed in my life to do many things. I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother." Baird, meanwhile, joked about becoming a 'nepo parent' and watching her kids' careers flourish.

The room was packed with impressive women from a range of backgrounds, including entertainment, the arts, activism and sport.

Anderson, who rose to fame as a star on Baywatch and has devoted much of her career to animal advocacy, was named Global Glamour Woman of the Year, and spoke about pursuing your dreams. "I just want to tell everyone to follow your dreams, because your dreams are looking for you too," she said.

Meanwhile, Empire star Taraji P Henson was named Woman of the Year, and used her speech to highlight the sexism she's experienced in the industry, and how it can be fought against.

Naturally, the outfits on the night were nothing short of glamorous, with Glamour's newly minted global editorial director (and Cork woman) Samantha Barry leading the pack in a show-stopping white satin gown, with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled skirt.

Laura Whitmore stunned in a vampy dark purple gown by RXQUETTE, a brand that draws inspiration from the 90s. Whitmore's look, styled by Emma Lane, was certainly inspired by the grunge era, with matching sheer opera-length gloves. Her makeup was dark and moody, with a deep plum lip, while her hair was loosely curled.

Pamela Anderson oozed sophistication in a mint green cape effect gown by Oscar de la Renta, while Beyoncé further embraced the 50s aesthetic she's been dabbling in, wearing a yellow sweater and matching satin slip skirt by Sergio Hudson. Paired with her bleach blonde curly bob, she seemed to be channelling Marilyn Monroe's own glamorous style.
