Two hospitalised after commercial building fire in Feilding

A "small" commercial building fire has been put out in Feilding by Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) this morning, with two people hospitalised as a result of the blaze.

FENZ said it received calls just after 10am about the fire. Two crews responded and all people were accounted for.

Hato Hone St John said they were notified of the fire at 10.03am.

"[It responded with] two ambulances, one rapid response unit, and one manager to the scene.

"Our crews assessed and treated two patients who were transported to Palmerston North hospital in a moderate condition."

FENZ confirmed to 1News the fire was extinguished and a fire investigator would be attending the scene.
