Two arrests, murder charge laid in Grey Lynn homicide probe

Two men have been arrested after a man was fatally shot and three others seriously injured in Auckland's Grey Lynn on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to an address on Tuarangi Rd after multiple 111 calls reported a "firearm being discharged" shortly before 7pm on Thursday.

Maxwel-Dee Repia, 18, was critically injured and died at the scene.

Two people presented at Auckland City Hospital with gunshot wounds, and a third man was brought to the Auckland Central Police Station to be spoken with as part of the investigation.

Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin said a 19-year-old man was arrested in South Auckland today and charged with murder, along with three counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A second man, aged 18, was arrested in West Auckland this afternoon.

He will face a charge of being an accessory after the fact to murder and three counts of being an accessory after the fact to wounding.

Baldwin said police cannot rule other further charges.
