Republic of Ireland international Nathan Collins wants Brentford to "correct" their defeat to Everton earlier in the season when they travel to Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Bees were handed a 3-1 loss by Sean Dyche's men at the Gtech Community Stadium in September.
After Brentford's 5-1 victory over Luton last time out, Collins, who has featured in 28 league games this term, wants his side to continue their form on Merseyside.
"It feels a long time ago, but I don't think we were at our best that day and of course we want to correct that," the Leixlip native said.
"The home game was a tough day for us," fellow defender Kristoffer Ajer added. "You'll always get a few bumps like that over the course of the season and we know we have to be more competitive than we were then."
Everton's 2-0 midweek victory over Liverpool helped them make strides towards Premier League survival and Collins predicted Goodison Park will be a challenging stadium to go to.
"No matter when you go to face Everton away from home, it will always be a challenge," he said.
"The fans are always a big thing for them at home but we have a job to do and we'll approach it in the same mentality that we always do.
"We want to go there to win at this important stage of the season."
Brentford's injury-stricken season has seen them go long periods without their best personnel.
The previously suspended Ivan Toney, who only returned to the pitch in January, has been out with a hip injury and fellow forward Bryan Mbeumo also experienced a period on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
