Seamus Power posted an improved 67 on Day 2 but still wound up missing the cut at the Byron Nelson in Texas.

After a disappointed 73 on a day of low scoring on Thursday, Power rallied in his second round, rolling in six birdies with just two dropped strokes to jump to two-under par overall for the tournament.

But with the field rattling in birdies at TPC Craig Ranch, this was three strokes adrift of the cut-line late on Friday.

FULL LEADERBOARD

The lead at the midway point is held by Mexico Open champion Jake Knapp, who posted successive 64s on the opening two days for a tally of 14-under par.

He leads by a stroke from Troy Merritt, who posted a scintillating 62 on Friday, and opening round leader Matt Wallace, who followed his 63 with a second round 66.
