Robert Dickson and Sean Waddilove have been chosen to represent Ireland in the 49er class at the Paris 2024 Olympics after coming through the national selection trials for the men's skiff event.
It will be a second Games for the duo who finished 13th overall in their category at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The Dubliners, from Howth Yacht Club and Skerries Sailing Club respectively, are in action at the 49er European Championship at La Grande Motte, France, which marks the third and final selection trial for the Olympics.
Currently sitting eighth overall, Dickson and Waddilove have qualified for the medal race.
That performance was enough to pip the Cork crew of Séafra Guilfoyle and Johnny Durcan to a a place in Paris, with the latter 12th.
Dickson and Waddilove will join Eve McMahon and Finn Lynch as part of Ireland's sailing competitors at the Games.
Two-time world youth champion McMahon, 19, will take part in the Laser Radial, while Carlow native Lynch, who competed at Rio 2016 before missing out on Tokyo, will be involved in the men's Laser.
The Paris 2024 sailing disciplines will not take place in the French capital, but in Marseille, southern France between 28 July and 8 August.
