Ayeisha McFerran has been ruled out of the Ireland hockey squad for the upcoming FIH Nations Cup in Terrassa, Spain.
The veteran goalkeeper is missing through injury, which has resulted in Holly Micklem being called into the squad alongside Liz Murphy.
Interim head coach of the women's national team, Facu Quiroga, has announced an 18-strong squad for next month's tournament.
The squad will head to Antwerp on 16 May to play three warm-up games against Italy, Belgium and India, before travelling on to Spain on 27 May ahead of their opening game of the FIH Nations Cup.
There will be two further warm up games in Spain on 29 May, where Ireland will take on Chile and then they complete their warm-up games by facing New Zealand on 31 May.
Alongside Ireland, the participating nations are Spain, Japan, Korea, Chile, Canada, Italy and New Zealand.
Ireland are drawn in Group A with Korea, Italy and Spain, and Quiroga’s side will first face the hosts on 3 June. In their second game of Pool A they play Italy on 4 June before facing Korea two days later.
The top two in each pool will make the semi-finals in the competition which counts towards world ranking points.
