After an opening round 77, Meadow had plenty of work to make it to the Saturday, and while a a one-under round of 71 was much improved, it was not enough.
With the cut line at -1, Meadow was five shots foul of that, with a double bogey at the fifth, the only blemish on her scorecard, proving costly.
Maguire also improved on yesterday's score, but a second-round 73 saw the Cavan native finish on three-over par.
The halfway leader is Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand.
The 21-year-old plundered five birdies in her last seven holes to card a 65 and move to the top of the leaderboard on nine-under par, two shots clear of South Korea’s So Mi Lee.
Nelly Korda is among a group of four players a further shot adrift on -6.
