Ireland's Sanita Puspure and Konan Pazzaia have advanced to their respective finals at the Olympic qualifier regatta in Switzerland.

The Lucerne event represents a last chance saloon for rowers bidding to make it to Paris this summer, and Puspure progressed to her single sculls final in particularly impressive fashion.

The 42-year-old clocked the fastest time of all tomorrow's finalists when she recorded a time of seven minutes 38 seconds to win her semi-final, with Switzerland's Aurelia-Maxima Katharina Janzen and Slovakia's Nina Kostanjsek her nearest pursuers.

Konan Pazzaia finished third in his single sculls semi-final behind Romania's Mihai Chiruta, with Tokyo silver medallist Kjetil Borch of Norway filling the runner-up berth.

The top two in Tuesday's finals will secure Olympic qualification.
