Tyrone got the better of Cork by 1-18 to 0-17 at Tullamore to claim second place in Group 3 of the All-Ireland SFC round robin series and home advantage for next weekend's preliminary quarter-final.
The sides were level seven times in the first half, but three points each from Stephen Sherlock, Mark Cronin and Chris Og Jones, helped Cork to a 0-10 to 0-9 interval lead, with the Canavan brothers, Darragh and Ruairi, both on target twice for the Red Hands.
The Munster side led by 0-10 to 0-9 at the interval, and after the sides had been level on ten occasions, Tyrone made the breakthrough with a Ben Cullen goal on 48 minutes.
And they saw out the game despite the straight red card dismissal of midfielder Conn Kilpatrick.
