Seamus Power moved back inside the top ten ahead of the final round of the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island.
The Waterford man posted an impressive 66 to get to 12 under at the South Carolina event to share seventh place following Saturday's third round.
Power sits four shots behind leader, Masters champions and world number one, Scottie Scheffler, who rocketed up the leaderboard following a scintillating eight under 63.
Four birdies on a flawless front nine saw Power get to 11 under at the turn, and while he dropped a shot on the 11th, he bounced back with two further birdies on the 15th and 18th hole.
Rory McIlroy also remains in contention ahead of the final round following a three-under 68 to get to ten under in a share of 12th place.
The four-time major winner hit six birdies and three bogeys throughout his third round.
Shane Lowry matched McIlroy's round of 68 to get to three under and sits in a tie for 50th place.
Scheffler was tied for 10th entering the third round but now sits one stroke ahead of Sepp Straka.
Collin Morikawa, who played with Scheffler in the final pairing at Augusta last week, is third at 14 under after shooting 68.
Scheffler turned in a bogey-free round, carding five birdies on the front nine and another three coming in, including the final hole.
The world number one is gunning for his fourth victory in his past five tournaments.
