Stephanie Meadow has made a solid start to the Dana Open in Ohio.

The County Antrim golfer sits on three-under par, four shots behind first-round leader South Korea's Choi Hye-Jin with Ashok Aditi of India and China's Lin Xi Yu a further shot back at Highland Meadows Golf Club.

After opening with six straight pars, Meadow had birdies at the seventh and 10th with a dropped shot at the ninth sandwiched in between.

Further birdies at the 14th and the par-five 17th left her within striking range of the top of the leaderboard.
