FAI Cup wrap: Waterford FC battle back to beat Cockhill

Premier Division side Waterford FC came from behind to defeat non-league Cockhill Celtic 2-1 at the RSC in the second round of the Sports Deirect FAI Cup.

Luke Rudden had the Buncrana outfit ahead on 13 minutes, but the hosts equalised eight minutes later through Gbemi Arubi.

Ryan Burke netted the winner on 47 minutes.

Early goals from Cian Brosnan and Ryan Kelliher Kerry FC a 2-0 win at Cobh Ramblers, for whom Beineon O'Brien Whitmarsh was sent off on the hour after receiving two yellows.

A goal from Brian Torre was enough for Athlone Town to give them a 1-0 win at home against Ringmahon Rangers from Cork.

First Division Treaty United were held to scoreless draw at home against Kilbarrack United of the Leinster Senior League.

In a Cork derby, Wilton United, through goals from Cian McCarthy and Ireoluwa Olajitan, got the better of Carrigaline United 2-1.
