Seamus Power in touch as Taylor Pendrith leads 3M Open at halfway

Taylor Pendrith took a two-stroke lead over Matt NeSmith at the 3M Open, where he is chasing his second win of the season.

A tight competition wrapped up the second round of the tournament on Friday at TPC Twin Cities in Bline, Minnesota.

The Canadian, ranked 59th globally, carded a seven under 64 on Friday, with a 30-foot birdie putt on the par-four 16th.

Pendrith's final run also featured an eight-foot birdie on the 15th.

His final birdie of the day came on the 18th hole, getting him to 12 under for the tournament heading into the weekend.

NeSmith carded a 64 on Friday to finish two shots behind Pendrith on 10 under.

First-round leader Jacob Bridgeman is a shot further back alongside countryman Andrew Putnam.

Seamus Power is seven shots off the lead in a share of 26th after a three-under-par 68.

The Waterford man hit four birdies and an eagle at the par-five 12th hole (his third) but dropped two shots on his back nine.
