Newcastle will travel to Nottingham Forest in one of two all-Premier League ties in the Carabao Cup second round.

Eddie Howe's side – starting in the second round this year after missing out on European qualification last season – will travel to the City Ground while Wolves host Burnley.

Brighton face a Sussex derby against League One Crawley while Fulham travel to St Andrew’s to take on Birmingham.

Sean Dyche’s Everton host Doncaster, who they beat in the second round last season, while Premier League side Ipswich travel to League Two AFC Wimbledon for a fixture that took place in League One in the 2021-22 campaign.

Middlesbrough’s impressive 3-0 win at Leeds earned Michael Carrick’s side a home tie with Stoke, while Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth will travel to Watford after their victory over Cheltenham.

Charlie Adam’s Fleetwood will face Rotherham following their shock victory over West Brom while fellow League Two side Harrogate’s reward for their win over League One Lincoln is a home tie against Championship side Preston.

Ties will be played in the week commencing 26 August.
