Australian Kaden Groves sprinted to victory in the second stage of the Vuelta a Espana on Sunday.
Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) held off Belgium's Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) in a hectic finish to what had been a relatively sedate 194km ride from the Portuguese coast at Cascais to Ourem.
Corbin Strong (Israel Premier Tech) came home third.
Van Aert was left frustrated at not winning a stage for the second successive day after Saturday's time trial but he took over the red jersey by virtue of six bonus seconds.
Corkman Eddie Dunbar (Team Jayco Alula) is 33rd overall after today's stage, while Co Tyrone's Darren Rafferty - making his Grand Tour debut - is 37th for EF Education-Easypost.
