Eminem to make comeback with new album, The Death of Slim Shady

Eminem has announced that he is releasing an album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) later this summer.

The 51-year-old Lose Yourself hit maker made the announcement through a fake news report clip on social media and YouTube in Michigan, Detroit saying: "Through his complex and often-criticised, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies."

His rap peer, 50 Cent, said: "He's not a friend, he’s a psychopath."

In the clip, the faux reporter continued: "The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady."

Eminem shared the clip on Instagram along with the album’s title and summer 2024 release window.

His last album was Music to Be Murdered By released in 2020.

It is not known yet if he will go on tour with this new album. Eminem has played Ireland five times in total, with his most Irish show taking place at at Slane Castle in 2013.
