Bruce Springsteen kicks off European tour ahead of Irish shows

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band began their European tour in Cardiff on Sunday night ahead of their Irish shows.

Why Ireland was Born to Run with Bruce

Springsteen and co treated the crowd at the Principality Stadium to a host of hits from the music legend's six-decade career, some covers, and fan requests.

The tour now moves to Belfast's Boucher Road Playing Fields on Thursday 9 May, Kilkenny's UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday 12 May, Cork's SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Thursday 16 May, and Dublin's Croke Park on Sunday 19 May.

When Springsteen wraps up the Irish leg of his tour, he will have performed to one million fans across the island of Ireland throughout his long career, music promoter Peter Aiken has said.
