Irish folk-rock group The Fynches have released their new single, Easier. We asked Ferdia Walsh-Peelo the BIG questions . . .
The brainchild of brothers Ferdia and Oisín Walsh-Peelo, together with drummer Camryn Teehan the band have a strong vocal-harmony sound which echoes the likes of CSN, The Band, and The Beach Boys.

They’ve released two double A-sides, appeared on The Late Late Show and Fanning at Whelan’s, and performed in The Olympia Theatre and they are now recording their debut album and looking forward to their tour later this year.
Oisín honed his skills touring and recording with bands like Villagers, Flyte, Hudson Taylor and Bombay Bicycle Club, while Ferdia found fame on the silver screen starring in Sing Street, the multi-Oscar-winning film CODA (best-picture), Pistol (Danny Boyle) and the upcoming Four Letters of Love (starring Pierce Brosnan and Helena Bonham-Carter).

Oisín speaking about Ferdia: He's a very cool and handsome young actor and musician. He has starred in an Oscar-winning film among many others. He has very fine styles
How would you describe your music?
Ferdia: Peasant Glam.
Who are your musical inspirations?
The Band, Joni Mitchell, Little Feat, Lief Vollebeck.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Ferdia: The Darkness at the Olympia Theatre. Oisín brought me when I was 14 years old and they're still my favourite band
What was the first record you ever bought?
Oisín: The soundtrack to Shrek 2.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Ferdia: Struttin' by Thumpasaurus.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Ferdia: "You're in my blood like holy wine, You taste so bitter and so sweet, I could drink a case of you, darling, And I would still be on my feet" - A Case of You by Joni Mitchell.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oisín: O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen.
