Dead Boy Detectives, Netflix

Do you have a pesky ghost haunting you? Has a demon stolen your core memories? You may want to ring the Dead Boy Detectives.

Meet Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), "the brains" and "the brawn" behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency.

Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends - and ghosts - who solve mysteries.

They will do anything to stick together - including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself.

With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.

As part of The Sandman Universe for Netflix and based on the comic series from Neil Gaiman, the series also stars Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Lukas Gage, David Iacono and Ruth Connell.

New or Returning Shows

Joe and Katherine’s Bargain Holiday, 10.00pm, Channel 4

Comedians Joe Wilkinson and Katherine Ryan join forces to show viewers how to have a fantastic holiday for a next-to-nothing price.

This opening episode sees them heading to Norfolk for an affordable 'romantic' getaway.

They pose for Instagram-worthy pics in fields of Norfolk lavender, sleep in an enchanting church and enjoy an alternative spa experience.

Joe has a romantic run-in with some owls, while the duo serenade each other with poetry and even experience an alternative couple's therapy session involving smashing things up.

Finally, the pair enjoy a picturesque boat trip on the Norfolk Broads.

Alan Carr's semi-autobiographical comedy set in 1980s Northampton, where the football manager's son-turned- comic grew up against the harsh backdrop of Thatcher's Britain.

Having a father who's the football manager of a Fourth Division club is never going to be easy, but when you're being dropped by your friends for being camp Alan decides to take things into his own hands.

Should he go against his own instincts and become a footballer himself?

Johnson & Knopfler’s Music Legends, 10.00pm, Sky Arts

Musicians don’t come much bigger than legends of rock Brian Johnson and Mark Knopfler, lead singers of AC/DC and Dire Straits.

Having sold a staggering 300 million records between them, each has left their own mark on our cultural history.

In this new series, Brian, Mark and special guests embark on a romp through the history of popular music, exploring key moments that transformed mavericks into iconic musicians.

In the series opener, Brian and Mark meet iconic Welsh singer Tom Jones.

In conversation and song, they reminisce on their earliest musical influences and Tom shares captivating stories from his career, including his friendship with Elvis Presley.

Instagram's Worst Con Artist, 9.00pm, UTV

This two-part documentary examines the rise to fame of 21-year-old social influencer Belle Gibson.

She’s a single mother diagnosed with brain cancer who chose to give up traditional treatments to pursue a revolutionary diet as her cure.

The story inspires cancer sufferers, she becomes a media celebrity, and holds events to raise money for charity.

But when her friend smells a rat and a journalist digs into her story, they discover the money Belle raised was never handed over, and her cancer diagnosis might be fake too.

Murder They Hope, 9.00pm, BBC Two

This spoof crime drama was originally broadcast on satellite channel Gold back in 2021 and stars Johnny Vegas, Sian Gibson and Gemma Wardle.

Following their adventures in Murder on the Blackpool Express, Death on the Tyne, and Dial M for Middlesborough, Gemma and Terry return.

The duo are now private investigators and they obtain a valuable collector's piece that the murderous Bunnyman will stop at nothing to acquire.

Since losing her husband and son to cancer, Monica in Dublin’s Swords has allowed her house to become hopelessly cluttered with furniture and charity shop bargains.

She likes to cook for family and friends but at this stage has nowhere for them to eat.

So Dee Coleman and builder Pete Finn (above) set out to clear Monica's home and then create an open kitchen-diner space where she can entertain.

Wildlife Rescue, 8.00pm, Channel 4

As this new series continues, the South Essex Wildlife Hospital's team rushes to the aid of Rocky, a badger trapped under a fence in Leigh-on-Sea.

A nest of orphaned great tit chicks is discovered abandoned in a wall-mounted ashtray on an industrial site, while a fox cub known as Lewis has his head stuck in a rusty wheel before X-rays reveal a problem that could prevent his return to the wild.

Taskmaster, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Contenders Joanne McNally, John Robins, Nick Mohammed, Sophie Willan and Steve Pemberton continue their quest to be series champion.

Steve experiments with G-force, Joanne rocks a traffic cone and Sophie splatters a human pigeon, all of which makes scoring a little tricky for all-powerful Taskmaster Greg Davies (above).

Elsewhere, Nick gets trapped under a bed and John constructs a lengthy homage to Little Alex Horne's hero.

New to Stream

City Hunter, Netflix

The legendary manga that captivated Japan and sold over 50 million copies gets its eagerly awaited Japanese live-action adaptation.

The story follows Ryo Saeba, portrayed by Ryohei Suzuki, a premier 'sweeper’ navigating the gritty underbelly of modern-day Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Balancing a cool demeanor with a fun personality, Ryo tackles high-stakes challenges in the underworld.
