From board games and clothes swaps, to secret session and the Dublin Fleadh, there is plenty happening across the capitol this weekend.

Secret Session

Guinness and Disclosure have announced a very special surprise gig. Set to take place on Saturday, May 18, the gig will take place in a secret Dublin City Centre pub, ahead of 'Lovely Day to Open the Gates' - the brewery's first ever open-air music concert.

The intimate gig will also feature a set from DJ Tara Kumar who will kick-start a line-up of incredible live music performances. Head to Guinness Ireland's Instagram Story now and sign up for access to tickets to be in with a chance to see this very special performance. Please note that there will be no entry to the pub without a valid ticket. Over 18s only.

Board

Board is a new cafe-bar-shop-event space serving non-alcoholic beers and cocktails, teas, coffees, and kombuchas alongside some delicious pizzas, salads, and sides. With over 200 games on offer, the Dublin 8 spot could be the ideal place to bring your next Hinge date or for your next wholesome day out with friends. Date Night

Hosted by comedians Bláithín de Burca and Emily Bradley, Date Night gives audience members the chance to get advice on their dating dilemmas, get involved in a live podcast with a celebrity guest, and receive "fair, flirty, funny commentary" on their dating profiles. Taking place in Sin é on Saturday, May 18, at 7:45pm, tickets cost €9.55.

Gender Free Clothes Swap

On Saturday, May 18, Sam's Collective will be hosting a gender-free clothes swap at Beckett Locke on the North Docks. Running from 1pm - 5pm, the event asks attendees to "bring what you can and take what you like". Be sure to bring items that are wearable, washed and in good condition. Basic Alterations – Get Your Wardrobe Summer Ready

Dublin Fleadh 2024: Comórtais Fleadh Áth Cliath

Hosted by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the fleadh is Dublin's foremost annual traditional Irish music festival. Featuring music and dancing competitions, Irish language events, Irish music sessions and a host of family friendly activities, the 2024 Dublin Fleadh will take place in Edmund Rice College, Navan Road, Dublin 15 on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19.

Beat the crowds by paying your admission fee in advance online – simply collect your wristband at the door each morning and skip the queues. Admission each day is €3 for children and €5 for adults.

Noise B Gallery IV

The Noise B. Gallery is a visual arts and music collective based in Dublin 9. This week's event will take place on Friday, May 17, from 5pm - 3am, with exhibitions, an art market and live music from a whole host of performers. Tickets currently cost €12.

The night will be held in The Racket Space, a music venue, recording studio, and lifestyle shop that can be found under The Bernard Shaw.

Africa Day

A flagship event will be held in Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainhamn, this free, family day will see musicians, dancers and cultural groups from across Africa gather to celebrate Africa Day.

Taking place on Sunday, May 19, the event will host over 50 musicians, dancers, performers and community groups in a unique celebration of African cultures. No tickets or booking is required.
