Watch: Biden refers to 'Vice President Trump' in latest gaffe

US President Joe Biden has mistakenly referred to Donald Trump as "vice president" during a solo press conference following the 2024 NATO summit.

During the press conference, Biden was asked about concerns he would have regarding Vice President Kamala Harris if she ran against Trump in the upcoming election.

Replying to the question, Biden said: "I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president did I think she was not qualified to be president. Let's start there."

Biden went on to say he was the most qualified person to run for president.

"I beat him (Trump) once, and I will beat him again."

Earlier today, Biden also mistakenly introduced Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky as "President Putin".

The gaffe came as the US President comes under intense scrutiny.

It came as Biden comes under intense scrutiny over whether he is fit enough to continue for a potential second term.

Speaking at NATO and with the Ukrainian leader waiting to speak on stage, Biden welcomed "President Putin".

He was quick to correct himself by saying: "President Putin? He's going to beat President Putin.

"President Zelensky. I'm so worried about beating Putin, we've got to worry about it. Anyway."
