New Zealand's guaranteed a medal in the women's team cycling pursuit when finals racing gets underway from 5am NZT.
The Kiwi quartet of Byrony Botha, Ally Wolloston, Emily Shearman and Nicole Shields flew through qualifying - shattering the national record in the process with a time of 4:04:679.
That set them up for a 'semi-final of sorts' with Italy, who they beat comfortably.
They'll now face USA in the final at 5:28am on Thursday NZT.
Meanwhile our Kiwi sprinters have had a busy day of qualifying for their respective individual races.
Women's keirin world champion, Ellesse Andrews, won her heat to go straight through to tomorrow's quarter-final.
Fellow team sprint silver medallist, Rebecca Petch was through too - though needing to race an extra repechage to qualify after coming fifth in the first heat.
Earlier, New Zealand's sole male sprinter Sam Dakin qualified 14th overall in the men's sprint - setting a new national record and personal best of 9.470 seconds.
However, Dakin ended up going out as he failed to win his repechage race.
