From eating al freso at Europe's biggest BBQ & Food Festival, to an Autumn-themed craft market in Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street, there is plenty to be doing in Dublin this weekend.

The Big Grill

Celebrating 10 years on the Irish festival circuit this year, Big Grill has grown to become the largest food festival in the country and the largest BBQ festival in Europe. They have a stellar lineup coming to Herbert Park from Thursday, August 22 - Sunday, August 25. There will be live music, offside feasting, chilli eating challenges, and lots of games for little grillers. General admission tickets cost €29.50 per day.

Gauche Market

On Sunday, August 25, Rotten Rouge will be hosting an autumnal market from 12-5pm to welcome in the new season. Taking place in the basement of Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street (stair accessibility only), the market will include a curated selection of small businesses with arts, crafts, apparel, jewellery, tarot reading, and more. Additionally, if you bring a book to the market, leave it behind and you take a new title for free!

EPIC Museum

With spectacular visual displays, innovative audio-visual exhibitions, and interactive touch-screens that vividly bring Irish stories to life, EPIC (The Irish Emigration Museum) caters to all ages. For the month of August, EPIC are offering free entry to children aged 17 and under, when accompanied by a paying adult (max three children per paying adult). Tickets must be booked in advance online.

Eatyard Crisp Festival 2024

Running Thursday, August 23 - Sunday, August 25, this four day crisp homage will return to The Bernard Shaw and Eatyard, delivering a weekend of blind crisp tasting, DIY crisp sambo making competition, a Jonnie Onion Ring challenge, a crispy quiz, live music, and more. Tickets are €8.26.

Get ready to groove and connect with your inner goddess at Femme Club's Self Love Dance Workshop with Sacred Sundays. Taking place on Friday, August 23 from 7 - 8:30pm in the Phoenix Park, this workshop will include choreographed dance, meditation, a journaling circle focused on femininity, confidence and expression. Haus of Wig

Haus of Wig are set to bring The Hausparty to Dublin's Sugar Club on Friday, 23 August. Featuring a formidable line-up of special guest and the talented trio of Naomi Diamond, Donna Fella and Shaquira Knightly, there will be comedy, dancing, games, lipsyncs, games and more. There will also be a guest host that transforms over the course of the evening into a fierce drag diva in the buildup to their inaugural drag performance! Tickets cost €22.42.

Dalkey Lobster Fest

The Dalkey Lobster Fest returns on August 24 and 25 for a weekend of delicious indulgence, live music, street entertainment, and artisan exhibits. The KidsZone in the Dalkey Church Garden will have face painting, magic, and bubble displays for little ones. Parking is limited so use public transport where possible. The DART, as well as Bus No. 59 and 111, provide convenient access to the festival.
