The Republic of Ireland will learn who they'll face in next year's UEFA Women's Nations League when the draw takes place in Switzerland on Thursday lunchtime.
Eileen Gleeson's side return to League B after finishing bottom of their Euro 2025 League A qualification group behind Sweden, England and France.
Ireland earned the chance to rub shoulders with those elite teams after topping their Nations League group in the autumn/winter of 2023 when they swept past Northern Ireland, Hungary and Albania.
Having won promotion, five defeats out of their six Euro qualifiers saw them drop back down to League B but they will be fancied to perform strongly in the second tier again.
Ireland will be in Pot 1 for the daw and will go up against one country from each of the following pots:
- Pot 2: Serbia, Ukraine, Northern Ireland, Turkey
- Pot 3: Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia
- Pot 4: Romania, Belarus, Greece, Albania
If Ireland win their group they will be promoted to League A, with the four second-placed League B teams playing against the third-placed teams in League A. The winner of each of those ties goes up to League A. The draw begins at midday.
Right now the focus is on the looming Euro 2025 play-off final against Wales.
Katie McCabe and Co travel to Cardiff for the first leg on Friday 29 November and then welcome Rhian Wilkinson's charges to the Aviva Stadium the following Tuesday for the return clash.
The Republic of Ireland are aiming to qualify for a European Women's Championships for the first time.
