Tom Cannon scored a penalty for a second consecutive game to help Stoke put back-to-back Sky Bet Championship victories together for the first time this season.

The Ireland international made the points safe at Ewood Park in a game in which goalkeeper Viktor Johansson starred as they beat Blackburn 2-0, with Million Manhoef breaking the deadlock after the break.

Stoke, who also featured Ireland U21 Andy Moran in their starting XI, move up to 14th in the table, one point behind 10th-placed Rovers.

Japhet Tanganga fired in-form Millwall to a 1-0 win over Leeds to move the Lions up to fifth.

The defender struck in the 40th minute to secure a fourth consecutive 1-0 win for Neil Harris' side and hand Leeds just their second loss of the season.

Defeat means third-placed Leeds missed the opportunity to pile the pressure on league leaders Sunderland, who were held to a goalless draw by Preston.

Alan Browne played the full game for the Black Cats, while Aaron Connolly started before being replaced by Romaine Mundle on the hour mark.

Jerry Yates starred as Derby earned their first away win by beating Coventry 2-1.

Yates scored the opener after 11 minutes and his strike after the break deflected in off Bobby Thomas. The Rams withstood a potential late comeback from the Sky Blues after they pulled one back through Tatsuhiro Sakamoto.

Luton moved out of the relegation zone after Jacob Brown's goal earned a 1-0 win over Cardiff featuring Callum O'Dowda and Callum Robinson.
